TV celebrities launched a fundraising campaign to raise £2.5 million to build a bigger and better hospice in Bury.
Lisa Riley (of Fat Friends, Emmerdale and You've Been
Framed - pictured), Noreen Kershaw (stage actress and ex
of Life on Mars, Director of Shameless and Coronation Street),
Ben Thompson (Ryan Connor, Coronation Street) and Sam
Aston (Chesney, Coronation Street) joined Bury Hospice
staff and volunteers to formally launch the fundraising campaign.
The Hospice has been granted planning permission to build a new,
£5 million state-of-the art facility at a new site in the
town.
We co-ordinated the event as part of the PR campaign for the
funding raising appeal. The launch received extensive coverage
including pages one, two and three of the Bury Times, BBC Radio
Manchester and Granada Reports.
