IPB's CEO Tony Ingham was named PR Professional of the Year at this year's Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide Awards North West.
Tony was honoured for his service to the region's public relations sector over the past 20 years.
Having begun his career selling newspaper advertising at the Manchester Evening News, Tony moved to Piccadilly Radio, where he helped launch Manchester's first commercial radio station.
Following his move into the world of public relations, Tony has worked on campaigns for some of the region's biggest developments, bringing hundreds of millions of pounds of investment.
In 2002, Tony established IPB Communications which has become one of the most successful independent agencies outside of London.
Tony's prize topped off a successful awards evening for the IPB team. Our response to the Irlam gas explosion for City West Housing Trust earned us a Gold award in the Crisis Communications category, while we were also handed a Silver prize for the best Not-for-Profit campaign for our work with Bury Hospice.
