The future of development in the North West – the impact of Localism

IPB Communications will be hosting a free half-day conference to help the property community understand how the Localism Bill will affect development in the North West.

The event, in association with Hill Dickinson, will provide tangible examples and predictions around the impact of the bill as it moves through the Lords.

Held in Manchester's City Tower on October 24 (1.30pm- 5pm), the conference will feature a range of renowned speakers on Localism and planning, including IPB Director and resident planning expert John Quinton-Barber. Joining him on the bill will be:

  • Matt Magee, corporate affairs manager at Tesco, part of the Manchester-based new stores team and responsible for community liaison
  • John Holmes, partner and head of planning at Hill Dickinson, adviser to private and public sector and expert witness
  • Mark Howard, a founder member of Hoylake Village Life, one of the Government's pilot neighbourhood forums
  • Adrian Fisher, head of planning and housing at Cheshire East Council, outlining the authority's approach to the emerging Localism framework as it becomes statute
