In Oldham, 86% of tenants voted yes to the Council's proposal to transfer their homes to First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO), the ALMO that will now become a registered social landlord. The turnout was 66%.
In Warrington, 91% of tenants voted in favour of their Council's proposal to transfer homes to its ALMO, Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT), with a turnout of 63%.
FCHO plans to spend £149 million in the first five years to bring homes up to the Oldham Standard developed by tenants and a total of £809 million over 30 years.
