IPB Communications has once again broken the mould to help Tesco communicate with local communities - hitting the streets in a pink campervan.
We used the bright pink 'Comments Campervan' to support a major consultation exercise which was being carried out by the retailer in north Leeds.
Scores of visitors to the campervan were invited to sit in the back and give their thoughts in front of camera and in a 'diary room' setting about the proposed new Tesco store, and what they thought it would bring to their area.
IPB senior consultant John Quinton-Barber said: "The whole point of the Comments Campervan is to introduce a fun way to engage and reach the 'silent majority', in particular young people and those who do not normally attend traditional developer exhibitions. Our experience of using the campervan in north Leeds was extremely positive and helped Tesco to capture various comments on camera.
"The campervan was only one element of our campaign for Tesco in north Leeds, which saw us secure the front page lead in the Yorkshire Evening Post with positive editorial comment, manage an exhibition and stakeholder event which over 900 people attended and saw us work directly with other interested parties, including traders."
