All systems go for Tesco

Tesco has asked IPB to use its media and public consultation expertise to support several new store proposals in the north of England.

IPB has been appointed to work with Britain's biggest retailer on store plans in Gorton and Huddersfield. The agency has also been selected to promote a flagship Tesco-led employment and training scheme, which has already helped more than 4,500 long-term unemployed people back into work.

Stewart Pimbley, IPB's Managing Director said: "Tesco takes a very responsible approach to community engagement, and we're delighted to be supporting the retailer with some of its major store proposals.

"This is proving a great opportunity to translate the skills we've acquired in the public sector to the private sector. The relationship is working very well."
